THE IDEA

Built around the Sri Lankan calendar

A useful calendar needs more than dates in a grid. Sri Lanka Calendar places Poya days and published public, bank and mercantile holidays alongside your everyday plans, so it is easier to see what is coming up.

The app opens on the calendar and makes it simple to move from the detail of a day to a whole year. A Today action takes you back to the current date whenever you need it.

LOCAL HOLIDAYS

Know what each day means

The app highlights Poya days and identifies whether a published holiday is public, bank or mercantile. When two holidays fall on the same date, both are shown.

Holiday dates are downloaded from the published calendar feed and saved on your device. Previously downloaded years remain available offline, and the app checks for updated holiday data when a connection is available. For important plans, always confirm dates with the latest official notice.

YOUR CALENDAR

Make room for your own plans

Add, edit and remove personal events on the dates you choose. They appear alongside special days in the app, while your event data stays on your device and is separate from published holiday updates.

Choose English, Sinhala or Tamil, set Monday or Sunday as the first day of the week, and use a light, dark or system-matched theme. On Android, you can also set reminders for holidays and your events, or place a standard or glass calendar widget on your Home screen.
