2. Information We Collect and Process

Sri Lanka Calendar does not require an account, login, email address, or user profile.

The App does not directly collect your name, home address, phone number, contacts, photographs, precise location, microphone recordings, or similar personal information.

However, some technical and usage information may be collected automatically by services used by the App, as described below.

3. Personal Events

You can create, edit, and delete personal events inside Sri Lanka Calendar.

Personal event information, including event names and dates, is stored locally on your device.

Personal events are not uploaded to Firebase, our servers, or other online services by Sri Lanka Calendar.

The App does not currently synchronize personal events with Google Calendar or another external calendar service.

Deleting an event from the App removes that event from the App's local data.

You can also remove locally stored App data by clearing the App's data through Android settings or uninstalling the App.

4. Sri Lankan Holiday Data

The App downloads Sri Lankan holiday information from files hosted using Firebase Hosting.

This information may include:

• holiday dates;
• holiday identifiers/codes;
• Poya days;
• public holidays;
• bank holidays;
• mercantile holidays; and
• other Sri Lankan special days.

Holiday names are localized within the App based on the selected language.

Holiday data is downloaded and stored locally so that the calendar can continue to display information efficiently.

The App periodically checks an online manifest to determine whether updated holiday information is available.

These holiday-data requests do not intentionally include personal event information or other user-specific calendar data.

5. Firebase Services

Sri Lanka Calendar uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Other Firebase services described below may be added in future versions.

Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics helps us understand how the App is being used, such as interactions with features and general usage patterns.

Analytics information may include technical information such as device characteristics, App interactions, identifiers, and usage information made available by the Firebase SDK.

We use this information to understand usage and improve the App.

Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics helps us identify crashes, errors, and stability problems.

Crash reports may contain technical information such as:

• device model;
• operating system version;
• App version;
• crash logs;
• diagnostic information; and
• identifiers generated or processed by the Firebase SDK.

We use this information to identify and fix technical problems.

Firebase Performance Monitoring

If included in a future version, Firebase Performance Monitoring may collect technical performance information relating to App startup, network requests, responsiveness, and similar performance measurements.

This information is used to improve the reliability and performance of the App.

Firebase Remote Config

If included in a future version, Firebase Remote Config may allow us to configure certain App behavior and settings without requiring a new App release.

Remote Config may use technical information necessary to deliver the appropriate configuration to the App.

Firebase Cloud Messaging

Sri Lanka Calendar does not currently use Firebase Cloud Messaging for calendar reminders.

Holiday and personal-event reminders are generated locally on the user's device.

6. Advertising

Sri Lanka Calendar may display advertising, including:

• banner advertisements;
• native advertisements; and
• interstitial advertisements.

We plan to use advertising and mediation services including:

• AppLovin MAX
• Meta Audience Network

Advertising partners and their SDKs may process certain information to provide, measure, secure, and improve advertising. Depending on the service and applicable law, this may include information such as:

• advertising identifiers;
• device information;
• IP address;
• approximate location inferred from network information;
• App interactions;
• advertisement interactions;
• network information; and
• attribution or measurement information.

We do not control the exact data processing practices of third-party advertising providers. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies.

7. Personalized Advertising and Consent

Where permitted, advertisements may be personalized based on information processed by our advertising partners.

Where consent is required by applicable law, including in certain regions such as the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the App may request your consent through a Consent Management Platform (CMP) before certain advertising technologies are used.

Depending on your consent choices and region, the App may display personalized or non-personalized advertisements.

You may be able to review or modify your consent choices through the consent interface made available within the App where required.

8. Advertising and Measurement Identifiers

Libraries included in the App may declare or use Android permissions and APIs associated with advertising and attribution, including:

• AD_ID
• ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID
• ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION

These technologies may be used by analytics, advertising, attribution, or measurement services.

The presence of these permissions does not mean that Sri Lanka Calendar independently builds advertising profiles. Relevant processing is generally performed by the SDKs and services integrated into the App.

9. In-App Purchases

Sri Lanka Calendar may offer optional one-time purchases through Google Play Billing.

These may include:

• Remove Ads
• Premium widgets

The App does not currently offer subscriptions.

If purchases are offered, payments will be processed by Google Play. We do not directly receive or store your payment card details.

If purchases are offered, purchase status and entitlement information will be managed through Google Play and used by the App to determine whether purchased functionality should be unlocked.

We do not currently maintain our own backend database containing your purchase records.

Google's handling of payment and purchase information is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.

10. Home-Screen Widgets

Sri Lanka Calendar provides Android home-screen widgets, including Classic and Glass styles.

Widgets may display information including:

• calendar dates;
• holidays;
• upcoming events; and
• locally stored personal events.

Widget information is obtained from data available locally to the App.

Premium widgets may require confirmation of a valid Google Play purchase before they are unlocked.

The App does not upload your personal event information merely because you use a widget.

11. Notifications and Reminders

Sri Lanka Calendar can provide reminders for holidays and personal events.

You may choose:

• whether reminders are enabled;
• how many days before an event a reminder should appear; and
• the preferred reminder time.

These reminders are generated locally on your Android device.

The App does not currently use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver these reminders from a remote server.

12. Permissions

Sri Lanka Calendar may use the following Android permissions.

Internet

INTERNET

Used to:

• download holiday information;
• communicate with Firebase services;
• load advertising;
• communicate with Google Play services where required; and
• perform other network-based App functions.

Notifications

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Used on supported Android versions to display holiday and personal-event reminders.

Android may ask for your permission before notifications can be shown.

Device Restart

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Used to restore or reschedule reminders and refresh widgets after the device is restarted.

Network State

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

May be used by libraries integrated with the App to determine network connectivity.

Wake Lock

WAKE_LOCK

May be used by Firebase, WorkManager, or related Android components to complete background tasks.

Foreground Service

FOREGROUND_SERVICE

May be included through Android WorkManager support. Sri Lanka Calendar does not currently operate its own continuous foreground service for normal App functionality.

Install Referrer

BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE

May be included by Google Play or other libraries for installation attribution and measurement purposes.

Internal Receiver Protection

The built App may contain an application-specific DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION. This is used internally by Android libraries to protect application components and is not used to access personal information.

13. Permissions We Do Not Request

Sri Lanka Calendar does not currently request access to your:

• contacts;
• precise location;
• camera;
• microphone;
• photos;
• general device storage; or
• Google Calendar.

If future versions introduce functionality requiring additional sensitive permissions, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

14. Languages and Personalization

The App supports:

• English;
• සිංහල; and
• தமிழ்.

You can also configure preferences such as:

• first day of the week;
• Light, Dark, or System theme;
• reminder preferences; and
• other App settings.

These preferences are generally stored locally on your device.

15. Third-Party Services

Sri Lanka Calendar uses or may use third-party services including:

• Google Firebase Analytics;
• Google Firebase Crashlytics;
• Google Firebase Performance Monitoring;
• Google Firebase Remote Config;
• Firebase Hosting;
• Google Play Billing;
• Google Play services;
• AppLovin MAX; and
• Meta Audience Network.

These third parties may process information independently in accordance with their own privacy policies, terms, and legal obligations.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these service providers.

16. Data Retention

Personal events and App preferences stored locally remain on your device until:

• you delete the relevant data;
• you clear the App's storage; or
• you uninstall the App.

Analytics, crash, performance, advertising, attribution, and purchase-related information handled by third-party providers may be retained according to those providers' respective retention policies.

Arvin Apps does not maintain an online user account database for Sri Lanka Calendar.

17. Data Deletion

Because Sri Lanka Calendar does not provide user accounts or remotely store personal calendar events, there is generally no server-side personal calendar database maintained by Arvin Apps for users to delete.

You can delete locally stored personal events through the App.

You may also remove locally stored App information by clearing the App's data through Android settings or uninstalling the App.

Information collected by Firebase, advertising providers, Google Play, or other third-party services may be subject to the deletion and retention mechanisms offered by those providers.

18. Security

We take reasonable measures to design the App so that personal calendar information remains local where remote storage is not required.

However, no electronic storage, internet transmission, software system, or third-party service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

19. Children's Privacy

Sri Lanka Calendar is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under 13.

We do not knowingly request children to create accounts or provide personal information directly to Arvin Apps through the App.

Advertising and third-party services may apply their own age-related requirements and privacy practices.

20. International Data Processing

Some third-party service providers used by Sri Lanka Calendar may process information on servers located outside Sri Lanka or outside the country in which you reside.

Such processing is governed by the privacy practices, safeguards, and legal obligations applicable to those providers.

21. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on your device, region, and applicable law, you may have options to:

• allow or deny notification permission;
• manage advertising consent;
• limit advertising personalization through Android or Google settings;
• delete locally stored personal events;
• clear App data;
• uninstall the App; and
• contact us regarding privacy questions.

Additional rights may apply depending on the privacy laws of your country or region.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when:

• new App features are introduced;
• advertising providers change;
• additional third-party services are integrated;
• legal requirements change; or
• our data-handling practices change.

When we update this policy, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
